It isn’t enough for this Indie Artist to be 27, he’s also a multi-operating CEO, Published Author, singer, songwriter, life coach and he brands himself. Maj3sty has undoubtedly been studying the game. The music industry can be a tough place to gain momentum but, Maj3sty has found a way to stand head and shoulders above the rest.

HIS ALBUM ASCENSION

Maj3sty had no intention of progressing this quickly, stating “I just put the pieces together, Jah revealed it all. I believe that in regards to me specifically, I give Jah credit for all of the good that is in my life. I didn’t do it, I didn’t create it. Even if I wrote it, yes I have ownership but my gift(s) were given to me by God. That is something that I must always be mindful of, no matter what.”

WHY THE NAME MAJ3STY?

This is a question that a lot of people probably ask about and Maj3sty definitely has an answer. “I use to go by the name Liric which was a play on words for lyric. I started rhyming in middle school. I remember riding on the bus and I would always sit in the back with the latinos. Oddly enough, I received more bullying from people of my own complexion. The latinos welcomed me and encouraged me, one day one of them said the name “lirico” and it stuck for a while. After that, I started going by “Chief Ali” and almost “Don Rude” but none of them felt right. I realized that if I was going to give myself a stage name, it needed to reflect the meaning of my real given birth name. More importantly I want my name to stand for something. I never consider myself a King, I look at myself as a Prince who serves a King. I trust the Omnipresence and I want to walk in that majesty. That’s how the name came about. I wanted to be original so, I replaced the “e” with a 3 and it symbolizes the power of the trinity.”

It’s easy to see why he’s next in line for stardom. This young powerhouse is expected to become mainstream. Not even being on the radio, Maj3sty has received attention from record labels such as, “1017 Eskimo Record (Brick Squad)” and “Sony Music Entertainment.” His song BIG STEPPA, which has charted #3 in Nigeria on the TOP 5 BRAND NEW is becoming a wave in the motherland. The only question now is, will the US embrace him? Will the West embrace the King or “Prince” who is rising in the East and when the time comes, has risen in the east. This young icon is somewhat that will be around for a long time and we look forward to seeing him establish his kingdom and legacy.
